The human body has always fascinated Ro. For this reason, she decided to embark on the career path of medicine. However, as a premed student, she soon discovered that modern medicine didn’t have all the answers. She has come to learn that healing starts from deep within one’s self. Healing is a journey that begins with self-discovery, a process that is often intense and strenuous, but necessary to improve one’s life. Yoga, especially through the breath, can help start this journey.

Ro is an Associate Forrest yoga teacher and completed the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training with Ana Forrest in 2008. She has studied and practiced yoga extensively for 7 years through Forrest, Yin, Shadow, PranaVayu, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Bikram and Baptiste. Ro is dedicated to making yoga accessible to everyone. She most recently completed research advocating for the use of Complementary Alternative Medicine, particularly mind-body practices in the prevention of PTSD stemming from complex emergencies.

Ro’s classes are different in the sense that she cares for the whole well being of her students. She believes that yoga is for people from all walks of life. No matter what shape you’re in or what your situation is in life, yoga is for you! It is the perfect way to release stress, make new friends, and gain a whole new perspective on life.

Ro holds a B.S in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA and an MPH in Global Health from Tufts University. When not working in the lab as a cancer researcher, she enjoys snowboarding and has completed 4 marathons ('06 Nike Women's Marathon, '07 Honolulu Marathon and '09/'10 Boston Marathon).
